Just Playing A Bit

I have such a problem with techno things..all butter fingers. I'm sad, over here my pig does not fly! I had finally conquered FTP space and made my gifs move on AOL...what's the deal here? Well, maybe it will move when I publish this? One can hope...

Murphy's Laws

Sometimes I wonder why does Murphy's Laws seem to apply to so many instances? Murphy's Law states that "if something is going to go wrong, it will go wrong at the most inopportune moment."

I really believe AOL pulling the ad crap the way it did, immediately after the ViVi Awards was a definite Murphy Moment. Aol took a community that had pulled together, even jumping the pond to do so, and in one fell swoop cut it's jugular.

Having worked in customer service and public relations positions my entire life I still shake my head in disbelief at what these idiots did. At the very least they could of warned people. A good deal of the journalers actually felt violated...having something that they worked on so diligently used in a crass manner was a total turn off.

Well, the powers that be at AOL still have not peeked out from behind closed doors. So much for marching in there and jumping up on their boardroom table...I guess art does not imitate life. But I do believe that MAD TV should do a sitcom on AOL's TV commercial....only this time when the lady customer jumps up on the table...it collapses under her!

Never again will I ever spout off to anyone, anywhere that AOL is good for anything....Sandi

So Now I Get Writer's Block?

Well yesterday was Thanksgiving, as everyone knows. National Turkey Day...gobblers running for their lives followed by shoppers running for theirs on Black Friday.

What is it about this country? We seem to be making "traditions" out of the most obnoxious occurances. It used to be that you never saw ads or signs of Christmas until AFTER Thanksgiving...each year it seems to be moved back further and further...I do believe one day it will bump into the 4th of July!

Black Friday? Sounds like an imminent death to me by something like the plague. But, lordy, no...the black refers to the point that all shop keeps would be out of the red and into the black. We have become a civilization that worships at the feet of greed. Regular is not enough, it has got to be SUPER sized to be right.

This morning, all over this country, thousands of early bird shoppers arose at the ungodly hour of 4 am to be able to be in line by 5 am in front of their favorite Walmart, K-Mart & Wally WhateverMart. The doors opened and chaos reigned supreme...even to the point of knocking down a very pregnant woman, people didn't stop they jumped over her to get to the sale items. Merry Christmas
